In addition to the increasing interest in meditation as a tool for wellness, there is a significant body of scientific research that demonstrates the benefits of meditation on psychological well-being;

The sheer amount of authentic evidence showing health benefits, mental health benefits, cognitive benefits, and better quality of life makes this practice worthy of attention. There are multiple types of meditation to try, and it can be a challenging project to find the right meditation practice and to be able to successfully implement it. This is why it is wonderful to have a knowledgeable guide help guide the process, which is something I offer.  I believe that beyond meditation's healing and calming effects, the practice of meditation is a tremendous tool for cultivating greater awareness and for deepening understanding of one's self and life.

Persons who struggle with stress management, anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, and chronic pain, among many other difficulties, can highly benefit from meditation and other relaxation practices. Because I am knowledgeable of many types of meditation techniques (mindfulness, yoga nidra, zen and others), I help my patients through the process of finding the techniques that best serve them and coach them along the way as we explore and witness how meditation can aid their psychological healing and growth process. This is a tailored, playful approach (often through trial and error) that involves feedback from patients and myself, as well as actually doing the practices together in session.
